India has seen significant growth in the air hostess job sector in recent years.

Many undergraduates and graduates are interested in working as flight attendants because of the good pay and the opportunity to meet people from all cultures, travel to different places, and learn new life skills.

An air hostess’ job may appear simple, but it entails more than just serving and waiting. The air hostess is in charge of greeting all passengers, coordinating with security, caring for passengers, providing seating and safety advice, and much more.

As a result, after the various eligibility criteria have been met, it is a job that necessitates extensive training in an air hostess school. In this blog post, we discussed the requirements for becoming an air hostess.

Educational Qualifications:

Candidates do not need to attend college to be eligible; any qualification above a 10+2 and a diploma is sufficient for an air hostess position. Candidates must be fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking). They will eventually need to learn customer relationship management as well as computerised reservation systems. So a basic level of computer literacy may be useful, though it is not an official qualification in and of itself.

Age Limits

The airlines set the age limit. Flight attendant academies prefer applicants between the ages of 17 and 26. Why? The majority of airlines target the younger demographic. Given that the job can be taxing on the body and sleep cycles, younger workers are better prepared to handle it—this is how the industry has evolved over time.

Physical Standards & Fitness

The physical standards of air hostesses are subject to the airlines: height, BMI, weight, and other attributes are discussed in accordance with the company guidelines. Physical fitness should be above average, and swimming skills are required in the event of a water landing. For the various emergency situations involved in the process, 6/9 vision is required.
